The Amazing DS-5.5 Small Keyboard Returns!
Renowned pianist Carol Leone performs virtuoso works for the "big-hands". Last year, series director and pianist Kathrym Mientka performed a solo piano recital on the smaller keyboard, having spent 3 months and many lessons with Carol on the journey to mastering this ergonomic keyboard. We are delighted to now present Kathryn's teadher, who is the foremost teacher on the small keyboard and part of an action team to promote this keyboard world-wide! Professor of Piano at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Carol Leone has performed and taught throughout the US, Europe, and Asia, and has been a prizewinner in piano competitions such as the National Beethoven Sonata Competition, the Missouri Southern International Piano Competition, and the International Masters Competition. Her professional training included study at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where she recieved a diploma and was a student of the legendary Polish pianist Mieczyslaw Horszowski. She was a student of Guido Agosti in Rome at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, where she recieved the Honors Diploma. An active soloist and chamber musician, Dr. Leone can be heard in recordins produced by MSR Classics, the Augusta Read Thomas Label, Gasparo Records, and Crystal Records.
